After-School Programs

Westmark School offers two enriching aftercare programs for Lower and Middle School students.  These programs are a great opportunity for students to connect with friends outside of the classroom after the last bell of the day rings.

Note: Sports practices and games, as well as rehearsals for Westmark’s three annual theater productions, also take place after school. Read more about our Athletics and Arts programs.

After-School Enrichment

After-School Enrichment (ASE) invites Grades 2–8 students to tap into their strengths and explore their interests after the school day ends. Recent sessions have included the following options: Mad Tinkering, Comic Book Creators, LEGO Robotics, Mad Science, Cheer, Social Detectives, and iStopMotion.

Fees vary depending on the number of class meetings in a session. ASE is offered in three sessions during the academic year. Each session spans 4–10 weeks. Classes take place 3:30–4:30 pm.

Stay and Play

All Lower and Middle School students who are not picked up at dismissal and who are not taking part in After-School Enrichment, tutoring, or athletics must be supervised by a Westmark faculty or staff member as part of our Stay and Play: After-School Supervision program. Students in Stay and Play receive homework help; play outdoor games such as gaga, basketball, or soccer; and/or enjoy indoor activities such as board games or arts and crafts. A snack is provided.

Stay and Play is complimentary from dismissal through 3:30 pm. After 3:30 pm, families will be charged a half-hourly fee. Supervision for all students ends at 5:00 pm.
