LOWER SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
Lower School learning isn’t just about what goes on in our classrooms... fun field trips and on-campus activities provide hands-on learning opportunities that extend the classroom and foster a love of learning. From animal clinics to the library, and science experiments and space to history lessons, these interactive experiences allow our students’ learning to come to life both in and out of the classroom.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
6TH-12TH GRADE TRIP TO PALI: OVERNIGHT RETREATS
Over 2 nights and 3 days, 150 6th-12th Grade students traveled together to Pali Institute in the San Bernardino Mountains to participate in their class overnight retreats. The students came together as a community as they shared meals, encouraged one another, conquered fears, and demonstrated leadership throughout various activities. Our 12th Grade students in particular displayed qualities and leadership attributes that embody the values we strive to instill in our Westmark community. Kudos to our Seniors for demonstrating Lion Pride and empowering and celebrating all of our students!

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
PEOPLE OF COLOR CONFERENCE (POCC)
Westmark’s faculty leaders from our DEI team joined independent schools from around the country in Seattle for the NAIS People of Color Conference (PoCC). Each year, the PoCC offers a valuable leadership and professional development opportunity for our DEI team to gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences to improve and enhance our diverse culture on campus. We are so proud of their work!
