Published seventy-five years ago, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has been captivating readers for generations. For this year's Middle School Play, the cast and crew mounted a magical stage adaptation of the famed novel by C.S. Lewis.

To Will Saxton, Theater Arts Teacher and Theatrical Director, the defining trait of the book's main characters is exactly what it takes for young theater artists to bring it to life. “More than anything else, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is about courage; and theater is arguably an act of courage, especially in a school setting,” he notes. “After all, performing on stage is one of the most vulnerable forms of expression a young person can engage in.... [The actors in this production] are some of the most courageous people I’ve ever worked with—even more so than the characters they portray."

Check out highlights from the performance and immerse yourself in the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the extraordinary world of Narnia. On this World Theatre Day of 2025, we congratulate the Grades 6–8 students for their fantastic dramatization of this truly iconic tale.
