WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22
Learn About Westmark's Vibrant Upper School Programs During Both Parent and Student-Oriented Events
 


 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13  8:00 - 10:00 am
Upper School Preview for 8th Grade Parents and Guardians
Learn about our Upper School Curriculum, Programs, Student Life and College Counseling and the Middle vs Upper School Experience

*A light breakfast will be served*
 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14 
Table Talk - Upper School Student Life for 8th Grade Students
A "talking tables" session designed for rising 9th Graders to learn directly from current Upper School students about Westmark's Upper School. Past topics have included: 

 • Eye-to-Eye • Performing Arts • Athletics • Internships •
 • Navigating Social Life • 
• Diversity & Affinity Groups •  
 • Student Council • 
• Upper School Trips •
• WestLAB • Service Learning •

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15
Upper School Ambassador lunch with 8th Grade Students Debrief and Q&A
*A special pizza lunch will be served*

NOVEMBER 18 - 22
SHADOW DAYS & X-PERIOD

Shadow Days provide an opportunity for all current 8th Graders to be paired with an Upper School 'buddy' and experience an Upper School schedule as a rising 9th Grader with a bird's-eye view of Upper School Student Life, both in and out of the classroom.

All 8th Grade students will be scheduled for one Shadow Day during this week and will participate in Upper School X-Periods on Thursday of this week.

X-Periods are interest-based electives.  Each semester, Upper School students work with Upper School faculty to explore their affinities and interests through weekly elective programs. 


FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22 
Upper School Lunch for 8th Grade Students

Upper School students will introduce 8th Graders to a special Upper School Lunch tradition

*A Pizza lunch will be served*

SHADOW DAYS
