Westmark School's year-long, school-wide character development program, "R.E.A.L." includes activities, special guest speakers, awards, on-campus peer exercises and forums, and communication strategies designed to help students increase self-confidence, and build upon their unique strengths.During the school year, all students
will have various opportunities to get involved and be recognized.

R.E.A.L. is dedicated to cultivating an educational community committed to integrity, self-efficacy, justice and courage in which each community member is devoted to a genuine respect for diversity, the fortitude to challenge oneself, the resolve to handle adversity, and the strength of character to maintain compassion for others.


Resilience (October / November)

Resilience is the ability to persevere and adapt and to bounce back from life's challenges.


Empowerment (December / January)Empowerment is the ability to effectively solve one's problems as they arise and to be willing to try different approaches to problem-solving when necessary.


Anti-bullying (Feburary / March)Anti-bullying is the willingness and ability to prevent verbal, psychological and physical harassment and violence toward others.


Leadership (April / May)

Leadership is being a role model and enlisting the help and support of others to achieve a specific goal or objective.
