Overview
Arts OverviewWestmark's Art curriculum encompasses performing, visual and digital arts, providing our students opportunities to explore their creativity each grade level. The program builds, beginning with a strong foundation in visual art concepts, and expands through hands-on and formal training across mediums, allowing students extended opportunities to develop an advanced skill level.
Courses

In addition to the regular Visual Arts and Theatre Arts classes offered, and Middle School Jam Band, courses are taught by professional dancers and choreographers, including Introduction to Dance, Hip Hop, Appreciation of Film, and Digital Media .
At the Upper School, students have opportunities to deepen their understanding of advanced concepts and theory, studio techniques and aesthetic valuing, and use this knowledge to create expressive original works in a variety of two and three-dimensional media. Courses include Advanced Video Production, Yearbook, WNN (Westmark News Network - a student produced daily news broadcast), Theatre II/III, Film Studies, Visual Arts II, and Advanced Studio Art.
