AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Westmark students may enjoy enriching, supervised programs that take place after the last bell of the day rings! Scroll down to learn about two after-school programs open to Lower School students.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT

The Spring 2023 session will run April 17–June 2 (except May 16–18). Registration is now open! See below for class descriptions and registration instructions.

After-School Enrichment (ASE) is a robust, hands-on program that invites Westmark students to celebrate their strengths and explore their interests outside the classroom. Past classes have included: Woodworking, Baking, Ceramics, Coding, Mad Science, DJ University, Magic, and more!

ASE is offered in three sessions during the academic year. Each session spans 4–10 weeks. Classes take place 3:30–4:30 pm.

An after-school staff member will pick up and drop off Lower School students to and from their ASE class(es). Students participating in bus transportation will join Stay and Play: After-School Supervision on a complimentary basis (scroll down to learn more about this alternate after-school program) following their ASE class(es) and ride the 5:15 pm bus.

Questions about the program? Contact Ali Guerrero, ASE Coordinator (aguerrero@westmarkschool.org).

STAY AND PLAY: AFTER-SCHOOL SUPERVISION

All Lower School students who are not picked up at dismissal and who are not taking part in After-School Enrichment, tutoring, or athletics must be supervised by a Westmark faculty or staff member as part of our Stay and Play: After-School Supervision program. Stay and Play is a great opportunity for students to connect with friends outside of the classroom after classes for the day are over. Come stay and play with us!

Students in Stay and Play have access to homework help; play outdoor games such as gaga, basketball, or soccer; or enjoy their choice of indoor activities like board games, arts and crafts, and Legos. A snack will be provided.

Stay and Play for Lower School students is complimentary from dismissal through 3:30 pm. After 3:30 pm, families will be charged $8 per half hour that a student remains on campus in Stay and Play. Supervision for all students ends at 5:00 pm.

We ask you to please be considerate of our after-school staff and promptly pick up your student by 5:00 pm. Parents who fail to pick up by 5:00 pm will be charged $50 per half hour after 5:00 pm and $100 per half hour after 6:00 pm. Failure to pick up by 6:00 pm will result in the loss of access to the program.
