Hats, headwear or sunglasses may not be worn inside school buildings or classrooms (except as approved for religious purposes.) Hats must be SOLID NAVY or SOLID WHITE.

For the 2017-2018 academic year, Westmark School will require families to purchase school uniforms. Uniforms can be purchased from Lands' End, Target or other retailers who carry items as specified below.
THE WESTMARK LOGO IS NOT REQUIRED ON THE UNIFORM POLO.
However, if you wish to add the logo, Lands' End will provide that service for an additional fee.
All clothing must fit modestly and be neither too tight nor too baggy.
Underclothing must not be visible.
Jewelry, body art, piercings, or hairstyles deemed to be a danger or a distraction to the learning environment are not acceptable.
Consequences for uniform infractions are outlined in the student handbook.
Colors, Styles & Items
These are the colors, styles and items of the Westmark School uniform:
Pants and shorts must be SOLID NAVY BLUE OR SOLID KHAKI; Skirts and skorts must be SOLID NAVY, SOLID KHAKI OR BURGUNDY AND GREY PLAID.
Belts (optional) should be brown or black with no studs or designs. Students may not wear sweatpants, leggings without a skirt, denim, or athletic wear for the academic day.
Shorts, skorts and skirts must be no shorter than fingertip length. Solid navy, black or white leggings or tights may be worn underneath; however, the shorts, skorts, or skirts must still be worn at the designated length.
Polo and Oxford shirts must be SOLID NAVY BLUE, WHITE, OR BURGUNDY. The midriff must not show when the student raises his/her arms over his/her head. Students may wear a solid navy or solid white t-shirt underneath the polo, but the polo must remain on at all times.
Sweatshirts, sweaters, windbreakers or light jackets must be SOLID NAVY, GRAY, or SOLID WHITE and must have a polo shirt underneath. Logos must be no bigger than the palm of the hand. Heavy winter coats may be any solid color. Scarves of any color are permitted. (Heavy coats and scarves should not be worn in class during the academic day.)
Dress Code for Free Dress Days
Free Dress is held on the first Friday of every month.
Student Council guidelines for Free Dress dress code are as follows:
- In general, clothing should be appropriate for the school environment.
- Skirts and shorts must be worn to fingertip length.
- Shirts and tops must be school appropriate: no strapless, spaghetti straps, or bare mid-drift shirts. Undergarments may not show.
- Leggings and yoga pants are not permitted.
- Clothing should not be ripped, overly baggy, or close fitting.
- No logos or accessories that promote illegal or gang related activities are permitted.
- No open toed shoes or heels are permitted.
- No hats or headwear should be worn in class other than those approved for religious purposes.
Dress Code for Spirit DayEvery Friday, students may wear Spirit Day dress.
Spirit Day dress guidelines:
Students may wear any Westmark Wear top with uniform bottoms OR blue jean bottoms. NO BLACK OR OTHER COLOR DENIM IS PERMITTED. PE uniform/athletic bottoms are not allowed.
In order to wear the blue jean bottoms, student must wear a spirit wear/Westmark Wear T-shirt.
Jeans must adhere to regular Dress Code for Free Dress Days standards and guidelines - no ripped or torn jeans, etc.
Students may wear Westmark Wear sweatpants. No other sweatpants are permitted.
Top: Westmark Wear T-Shirt (Spirit Wear T-Shirt, Homecoming T-Shirt), Athletic Team Shirt, or Play/Arts T- Shirts. (NOTE: PE Uniforms are NOT allowed)
Bottom: Wear uniform bottom (as stated by dress code) or Blue Jeans, Blue Jean Shorts or Blue Jean Skirt only. Shorts and Skirts must be appropriate length; no shorter than fingertip length. Students may wear only Westmark sweatpants; No other sweatpants are permitted.
