Everyone in the Westmark School community belongs to our Lion Pride! Life at the School wouldn't be the same without the unique contributions, meaningful involvement, and loving support of our students' families.
From donating volunteer hours to attending meetings and events to simply staying in touch, there are many ways to participate in building community at Westmark.
Annual Gatherings
Before the first day of school, the New Parent and Guardian Welcome Reception gives new community members a chance to meet and mingle.
The Parent Bash brings together all parents and guardians to kick off the new school year.
At the Parent Bash, guests enjoy delicious food and drink, photo booth fun, a DJ and dance floor—and most importantly, conversation and camaraderie.
During Homecoming each fall, students of all ages enjoy carnival-style activities staffed by parents and guardians.
Homecoming is filled with Lion Pride as fans cheer on our Flag Football teams.
Before the Homecoming game, senior athletes and their families are honored for their dedication and hard work.
You can always find a group of Westmark families cheering on our Athletics teams at games. Go, Lions!
Divisional meetings and Parent Education Programs shed light on the academic program and the brain science behind it, among other compelling topics.
The morning of Halloween is a family affair, as parents and guardians come watch the costume parade (often in costume themselves!).
At the first annual 1 in 5K Dyslexia Dash, this alumni family joined the Westmark contingent to show support for the 1 in 5 who think and learn differently.
The Spring Gala is Westmark's major fundraising event of the year. Hundreds of guests gather in celebration of the School's mission and in support of our many programs, services, and special projects.
An annual tradition in the Lower School, Grandparents and Special Friends Day features musical performances, along with read-alongs, arts and crafts, and more.
The Lower School concludes the school year with Step-Up Ceremonies for Grades 2–4 as they "step up" to the next grade, followed by a Transition Ceremony for fifth graders moving up to Middle School.
Friends and families come from near and far to attend the Grade 8 Graduation Ceremony and Commencement Exercises for graduating seniors.
Commencement Exercises are a milestone moment! Following the ceremony, families are happy to take photos with the newly graduated.
