Digital Arts

Three Digital Arts students stand in discussion while using video equipment.

The Digital Arts program invites Upper School students into the world of film, photography, and broadcast media. In Grade 9, they are introduced to the basics of these media, with advanced coursework available as electives in Grades 10–12.

Designed for Grade 9, the introductory course on film and photography teaches the basics of exposure, composition, and editing, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud. Students are encouraged to harness the power of their own stories and perspectives into the creative process. Electives offered in the upper grades include Broadcast Media, Advanced Photography, and Advanced Film.

Thanks to the generous support of our Westmark School families, students have access to a fully equipped studio— home to Westmark News Network—where they produce and broadcast news segments for the School community.
