Westmark School educates students in Grades 2–12 who are among the 1 in 5 who think and learn differently. Each with a distinct learning style, our Westmark Lions bring their bright minds and unique strengths to the community.
Applicants to Westmark have average to high cognitive ability and a language-based learning difference (LD). Our students have a main diagnosis of one or more of the following:
- Dyslexia—An LD that affects one's ability to read
- Dyscalculia—An LD that affects one's mathematical abilities
- Dysgraphia—An LD that affects one's ability to write
- Auditory or visual processing disorder
- Other specific learning disability (SLD)
Westmark students may also have one or both of the following:
- Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Executive functioning disorder
- Mild anxiety
- Mild depression
If your child fits this profile and has areas of strength and need that are not being met in a traditional classroom, Westmark—with more than forty years of experience and expertise in language-based LD—may be the right fit for your family!
