Gifts of Cash, Checks or Credit CardWestmark School is pleased to accept contributions made by cash, check or credit card. These gifts are tax deductible in the year the donation is given. Please make checks payable to Westmark School. To make a secure online donation with your credit card, please click here. To download a donation form which you can complete and mail to the school, please click here. For more information, please contact Tracey Hughes at (818) 986-5045 ext. 316, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stocks / Securities You may achieve tax savings by making your gift via stocks or other capital assets. If you donate appreciated, marketable securities that you have owned for more than one year and one day, you may receive a charitable deduction for the full market value on the date of the transfer. Neither you nor Westmark School would be required to pay capital gains tax on this type of gift. If you have securities that have decreased in value, you may be able to take a deductible loss when you sell the stocks and donate the proceeds.
Bequests / Planned GivingA bequest to Westmark School will provide vital and sustaining support for the students and the school now, and in the future. You can make this important commitment by including Westmark in your will, and/or other charitable gift plans. Bequests of a specific cash amount or estate percentage are often included as a simple, practical means of providing a lasting major gift to Westmark. The information provided herein is for informational purposes only, and is not intended to be legal or tax advice. Westmark School recommends that you consult with a qualified estate planning attorney when drafting your will or other estate planning documents.
Make a PledgeYou may make a pledge to the Annual Fund or other areas by contacting Tracey Hughes at (818) 986-5045 ext.316 or emailing email@example.com. Pledges can be satisfied through a single contribution or in multiple installments, at a time that is convenient for you. If your gift is to the Annual Fund, all final payments are due no later than June 30 in the school year your gift was pledged.
Matching GiftsGift matching is a way to increase the value of your own charitable gift through your employer. If you work for a company that matches gifts, you can double or triple the value of your contribution! Contact your Human Resources Department for eligibility information and to obtain a matching gift form, and follow your employer's matching gift procedures.
