Homecoming will be held on Friday, October 13 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
This is an all school event and all families are invited to join us for a day of FUN with students, parents, teachers and staff, featuring carnival-style booths, games, bake sale and a parent-hosted BBQ.
Varsity football game starts at 3:30 p.m.
There is no cost to Westmark students for the Homecoming BBQ lunch
Dunk Tank Tickets, Raffle Tickets, Gala Raffle Tickets, Bake Sale, and Westmark Wear can all be purchased with cash or credit.
Wristbands for lunch and festival booths for parents, siblings, etc. are available for purchase and will be sold that day for $8.00 (cash or credit accepted).
On Thursday, October 12, 6th-8th Grade Flag Football plays at 3:30 p.m.
Spirit Week - October 9-13
Show your spirit by dressing in daily themes
(must adhere to the Dress Code for Spirit Day Dress)
STUDENTS WHO CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN DRESSING IN DAILY THEMES, MAY NOT WEAR FREE DRESS AND MUST BE IN FULL UNIFORM.
Monday 10/9: Show Your Colors!
- Lower School: Wear the colors of the rainbow
- Middle School: 6th Grade: WHITE, 7th Grade: BLUE, 8th Grade: PINK
- Upper School: 9th Grade: GREEN, 10th Grade: WHITE, 11th Grade: BLUE, 12th Grade: PINK
Middle and Upper School Pep Rally - 7th period; Lower School students will join the fun prior to afternoon pickup
Tuesday 10/10: Heroes and Villains
Wednesday 10/11: Sports Day
- Wear your favorite team jersey or spirit wear
Thursday 10/12: Throwback Thursday
- Dress from any decade you choose, 1950s to 1990s
- Middle School Flag Football game - 3:30 p.m.
Friday October 10/13: Spirit Day
- Wear your Homecoming t-shirt or other Westmark Wear.
We have secured nearby, paved off-site parking at Woodley Park (same as last year) and will provide shuttles to and from for all faculty and staff, parents and guests attending the Homecoming festivities. Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from Woodley Park/Section 1 to Westmark School, starting at 6:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Woodley Park is located at 5738-5796 Woodley Avenue; entrance is located on the right if travelling north on Woodley. (Between Burbank Blvd. and Victory Blvd.)
ChoiceLunch & Homecoming Lunch
There will be an abbreviated class schedule on Friday, October 13 due to Homecoming activities. Choicelunch will be served between 11:00-11:40 a.m.; additionally, every Westmark student will be given a Homecoming meal ticket that includes either a hamburger or all beef hot dog, all beef polish sausage, or veggie burger, chips and a drink. There is no cost to Westmark students for the Homecoming BBQ lunch and festivities. Students should bring a snack to eat during nutrition. Lower and Middle School students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. for the Homecoming BBQ lunch; Upper School students will be dismissed at 1:18 p.m.
Pre-ordered Homecoming T-Shirts will be distributed to students on Thursday, October 12 during 1st period. Any pre-ordered shirts that are not delivered to students will be held at the Westmark Wear booth at Homecoming.
If you did not pre-order, a limited number of shirts will be available for purchase on the day of Homecoming, first-come, first-served (limited sizes available).
T-shirts are $20.00. Once T-shirts run out, you will also be able to order a Homecoming T-shirt at the Westmark Wear table at Homecoming.
Calling all Bakers!!! Homecoming Bake Sale needs YOUR best treats! Anything sweet (cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, bars, vegan, etc.) but PLEASE no nuts, no whipped cream, no toppings! We will be collecting baked goodies on Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13 at morning drop off.
After School Supervision
There will be NO After School Supervision on Friday, October 13 due to Homecoming festivities. Please arrange to be on campus with your child, or to have them picked up at 2:45 p.m. for Lower School and 3:00 p.m. for Middle School (or take their regular bus/carpool). If Lower School students wish to return to the Homecoming activities after 2:45 p.m., they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If Middle School students return to the Homecoming activities after 3:00 p.m., they will only be released to their parent/guardian or other person listed on their Release Authorization form or to their regular bus/carpool.
