WNN

Every morning, Westmark School's Video Production class broadcasts a 14-minute news show from the WNN Studio on campus. The production staff is made up of high school students who are responsible for various duties throughout the week. Some students edit news segments while others tape news stories or prepare the studio for broadcast. The students become a team over time and develop skills in many areas of production. Besides giving students an educational overview of production, one of the goals of WNN is to build a sense of community. WNN generates excitement and interest on campus, brings the student body and staff together in preparing shows, and gives the students opportunities to highlight and share the many activities that make up their lives. It has been a great success with everyone on campus and continues to grow.

In Video Production students learn to edit using Final Cut Express and become familiar with various digital video and sound equipment.
