Middle and High School
7th Grade
Seventh grade at Westmark is a much anticipated and exciting time. The students are finally middle schoolers with full middle school privileges. They eat in the middle school area and change classes every period. They continue to shine in the classrooms as well as on the middle school sports teams, all under the caring and watchful eyes of their teachers and the supportive Westmark staff.

8th Grade
The 8th grade year at Westmark School is a magical year. There is a wonderfully cohesive group of teachers who work hard to ensure that each student's individual strengths are honored, while providing a supportive and safe environment for the student to transition from childhood to early adulthood.

9th Grade
Ninth grade is a time of transition. Westmark students seem to make the move from middle school to high school with relative ease. Students have an opportunity to join in their school's government, which gives them a sense of ownership and spending time in the high school area allows them to feel a part of the upper school. Ninth grade is a special time and I'm happy to be part of it.

10th Grade
Tenth grade is a time for students to start to understand their own strengths and learning styles. Many 10th graders begin the process of exploring options for life after high school. I enjoy watching the students take on more responsibility and mature into independent young adults during this challenging and rewarding year.

1th & 12th Grade
Eleventh and twelfth grade is a time of increased self-advocacy and independence marked by celebrations that signal entrance into adulthood. Students and their parents meet with our college advisor during these years and careful consideration is given to class selections and testing preparation. An emphasis on making a life plan based on a student's strengths is supported by advisors, teachers, and the administration. The prom, school trip, and candle-lighting are junior and senior activities. Special events for seniors include receiving a senior jacket, enjoying a senior breakfast off campus, and Grad Nite at Disneyland. An intimate, personal graduation ceremony is held in June to celebrate a senior's successful completion of high school.
