SUMMER SMARTS

Designed to help students sustain and grow their academic skills during Summer Break, Summer Smarts is Greater LA's leading summertime program for Grades 2–12 children with diagnosed language-based learning differences.

The program is open to current Westmark students, as well as eligible students who do not attend Westmark. It is required of all newly enrolled Westmark students, providing an opportunity to acclimate to Westmark's academic programming and campus culture.

SUMMER SMARTS ACADEMIC PROGRAM
Monday–Friday | 8:30 am–12:30 pm

During Summer Smarts, students take core classes in reading, writing, and math, as well as one strength-based elective based on student preference. These classes support students in developing and stabilizing their academic skills.

Conducted in small groups, instruction is uniquely tailored to each student’s learning profile. Students are taught by Westmark’s expert specialists, who are highly trained in a variety of research-based teaching methodologies specially designed to meet the needs of students with language-based learning differences. Our warm, friendly, and supportive environment helps develop confident and engaged learners.
