Curriculum Overview

Westmark’s goal is to create an environment that provides positive experiences for our children’s success in life, and prepares them for the challenges and opportunities the future has to offer. Westmark provides a multi-sensory, whole-child approach to education in a nurturing and traditional school environment.  Its curriculum incorporates creative strategies and state-of-the-art assistive technology based on proven educational research, enabling students to achieve their maximum potential in and out of the classroom.  In addition, Westmark prepares its students for the future by focusing on the development of self-advocacy as well as the individual skills and talents of its diverse student population.           

Many of our students come to us defeated, frustrated and discouraged by their experiences in conventional classrooms, having lost both their will to learn, and their belief in their ability to do so. With Westmark’s creative strategies, state of the art assistive technology and individualized instruction and curriculum, and specially trained faculty, Westmark makes it possible for students to “discover their paths to success.”
